Celebrate Recovery is not just a program
for Substance Abuse. The program helps people to deal with many
issues in our lives. Some of those are: Abuse, Anger, Alcoholism,
Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Adult Children of Alcoholics,
Codependency, Grief, Divorce, Relationship issues, Overeating, Drug
addiction, Sexual addiction and many others.
If there is any area in your life that you are still feeling a
burden, pain or guilt from, we urge you to join us. Recovery is an
ongoing process that we practice every day of our lives.
Celebrate Recovery is a life-changing ministry. Our groups are
designed for all different types of hurts, hang-ups and habits.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and
celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery
Principles."
This experience allows us to "be changed." By working and applying
these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become
free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.
This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a
stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress
through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving
Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the only true Higher Power.
Curriculum
Celebrate Recovery utilizes a set of workbooks designed by Pastor
John Baker of Saddleback Valley Community Church in Orange County,
California which leads us through our steps. We also utilize the
"Life Recovery Bible". No other material is allowed at meetings.

Impact Statements
1. At each meeting I hear something I need to
hear. Today I know I didn't cause, can't cure or control
someone else's problems.
2. God is transforming me into the servant He wants me to be through
Celebrate Recovery. My life will never be the same, for this,
I am forever grateful.
3. God has used Celebrate Recovery to heal the
deepest wounds I had. God has provided me with a safe and
supportive place to come out of my shell and to grow into the woman
God has called me to be.
4. My Father, my one and only true Daddy loves me
even if no one else does. He will always fill my heart with
dreams. That faith will give me courage to do great things.
5. Living at peace with everyone means just that,
including my abusers. I had to forgive them, not because I was
forced to forgive, it was because I needed to for my own healing
6. I finished the Principal/Step Study Books and
have experienced freedom like I have never known. I have
changed in so many ways.
7. I would like to say that everything worked out great and that my
husband came home and we lived happily ever after. But I can’t.
I have finally been able to forgive him. I can pray for him and let
God give me His strength to go on.
8. This program literally saved my life and I am
grateful for all my friends here at CR.
9. The strongest and greatest benefit that I have
received from working the program is having healthier relationships
with others.
10. I know that I can’t go further with my
relationship with Jesus until I let go and forgive, that I can’t
live in the past, and that I can only affect what happens to me
today and tomorrow. I treasure everyday he has given me.
11. This program of CR is a continuing process for living; not for
just kicking a habit. I don't know what your God can do but My God
is a Father who accepts me and always fills me with self-worth and
value.
12. The best things about this program to me are:
the new friends I’ve made, the fact that I can openly talk about the
things I did in the past and knowing that I can help make a
difference in other people’s lives.
13. My secrets are not near as big out as they
were in. I have learned how to forgive others for hurting me.
14. I have been letting Jesus Christ run my life for about a year
now and he knows what he is doing. Everyday isn’t perfect but
I will not go back to my old ways.
15. God had a better plan for my life but I
didn’t choose to follow His plan. Now he is picking up the
pieces of my mess and restoring me to who He wants me to be.
16. I had felt insane for so long, then that cool peacefulness of
God’s love calmed the chaotic panic in my dark heart and restored my
sanity.
17. When I realized that my pain was greater than
my fear, I went to CR.
18. In my past I seemed to have the ability to manipulate and
control people and circumstances, especially during chaos and crisis
in which I put myself in a position of being a "rescuer", but that
didn't mean I was independent, but rather I was co-dependent.
19. I would encourage anyone to give this program a try, the Step
Studies have helped change my life, anyone who knew me before could
testify to this.
20. For once in my life I have peace and joy that
come from a heart toward God and faith that he will provide for me
and knowing with confidence that I am cherished and loved as his
child.
21. God had a better plan for my life but I
didn’t choose to follow this plan. Now He is picking up the
pieces of my mess and restoring me to who He wants me to be.
